WASHINGTON —Viagra, the world’s most successful drug, has been a hot topic for health officials and the public, but the price hikes are taking the medicine from the brink of being a thing of the past.
Viagra, the world’s most popular erectile dysfunction drug, has been a subject of debate among some physicians, some even claiming to treat symptoms.
The price of Viagra at pharmacies, where the price of a pill is less than $10, can vary widely depending on where you buy it from. Some pharmacies sell the drug in pill form.
But it’s not just pharmacies that are affected. Health officials have also discovered that prescription prices for Viagra are increasing.
So far, Viagra has been on the rise, prompting a new wave of pharmacy complaints from the public and health officials.
The most recent in 2003, the government has announced that it will begin selling a generic version of Viagra to the public at a price of $5 per tablet.
